Grangefield Academy celebrates GCSE results 2026
Northern Education Trust The Grangefield Academy celebrates GCSE results.
Students at Northern Education Trust The Grangefield Academy, one of 17 secondary academies sponsored by the trust, have achieved some of their best ever GCSE results.
The Academy is delighted to have built on the success of previous years and have improved the number of passes in both English and maths combined for the third successive year, with an impressive 73.4% of students achieving a Grade 4 or above and 57.3% achieving a 5+ across both subjects. The academy achieved their best ever results in maths, with 75.4% of students achieving a Grade 4 or above, and 63.3% of students achieving a Grade 5 or above. In English, 80% achieved a Grade 4 or above and 64.8% achieved a Grade 5 or above continuing their outstanding results.
The academy is also celebrating outstanding results across all humanities subjects and MFL, with 97% of students achieving a Grade 4+ in French and a massive 88% achieving a Grade 5, 74.2% of students achieving a Grade 4+ in geography and 80.6% of students achieving a Grade 4+ in history. Strong improvements were also noted in health and social where 67.3% achieved a Grade 5 or above. In statistics, 65.5% of students achieved a Grade 5 or above. In performing arts, biology, chemistry and physics, 100% of students achieved a Grade 4+
There were some outstanding individual successes:
- Alishba B, 7 Grade 9s in English Literature, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science and French, 2 Grade 8s in English Language and Geography.
- Izzah K, 7 Grade 9s in English Language, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French and History and 2 8s in Computer Science and English Literature.
- Wardah I, 6 Grade 9s in English Literature, Maths, Geography, Combined Science and Health and Social Care, 4 Grade 8s in English Language, Statistics, French and Urdu
- Jacob H, 5 Grade 9s in English Literature, Geography, Combined Science, Sport, 4 Grade 8s in Maths, Computer Science, English Language and French
- Oliver J, 4 Grade 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, 4 Grade 8s in in English Literature, French, Geography and Engineering
- Will R, 2 Grade 9s in English Language and English Literature, 5 Grade 8s in Maths, Geography, Combined Science and Statistics.
